That makes it the right call before you buy a used car, before a long trip or a Minnesota winter, or after a major repair when you want to know the original complaint is actually gone. If instead you have a warning light, the diagnostic side of the shop is the better starting point.
Typical timeline: A structured lookover is often same-day or next business day. Fixes that come out of the inspection are quoted separately so you can prioritize.

What an inspection tells you that a test drive does not
Most of what determines whether a used vehicle is a good buy is not visible from the driver’s seat. Pad and rotor measurements, tire wear patterns, play in the steering and suspension joints, fluid condition, and rust on the lines and underbody all take a lift to see. We report what we find and prioritize it, so you know what you would be taking on.
An inspection reports condition; it does not diagnose a fault. If a warning light is what prompted the call, a diagnosis is the right service instead—it tests the specific circuit the code points at.
